RISE for Youth is a nonpartisan campaign committed to dismantling the youth prison model by promoting the creation of community-based alternatives to youth incarceration. Our work centers the voices of impacted youth and communities and challenges racial injustice in Virginia.
RISE for Youth knows that prison is no place for children and we work to ensure that every child in Virginia lives in a healthy community. We are committed to ensuring that every resource allocated for rehabilitation is used to support youth who come in contact with the juvenile justice system and their families within their own communities.
